MEET THE SPEAKERS
Dr Mani Naghibi
Dr Mani Naghibi is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at St Mark’s, The National Bowel Hospital.
He specialises in Gastroenterology and Human Nutrition, and has received multiple awards for NHS clinical excellence and innovation, including the Shire Prize and the Top Doctor’s Gastroenterologist 2023. Dr Naghibi practices in both the NHS and privately across London, with expertise in IBS, artificial nutrition, and digestive health.
Dr Imogen Sutherland
Dr Imogen Sutherland is a Gastroenterology registrar undertaking a PhD in Crohn’s disease at University College London. She combines active clinical practice at UCLH with specialist experience in intestinal failure, IBD, and acute GI bleeding. Imogen has held registrar posts across London and the South East, has published in leading journals including Gut and BMJ, and presented nationally and internationally.
Chef Vince Kelly
Chef Vince Kelly is a professional Chef and co director of Culinary medicine UK and holds 30 years of experience within the hospitality industry, as a senior lecturer and manager of the pan London hub of the Mayor’s Hospitality skills academy, Vince has Pioneered several education initiatives including “Healthy plate, healthy planet”, and a bespoke degree in “Culinary Health and Nutrition”, Vince is extremely passionate about healthy plates and a healthy planet. Within his work as a UK ambassador to the Guardians of Grub food waste programme Vince has instigated a Food saving student Chef of the year competition and curriculum to underpin this work at UK’s number one Hospitality School, Westminster Kingsway College (WKC).
Dr Chintal Patel
Dr Chintal Patel is an NHS GP, award-winning recipe creator, and nutrition content specialist with 20 years of experience. She is author of ‘Dr Chintal’s Kitchen’ and columnist for BBC Good Food. She is dedicated to empowering families to enjoy healthy, balanced meals, and is known for her practical, inclusive approach to nutrition and cookery. Chintal combines her medical expertise with her passion for food to inspire healthier eating in everyday life.
Dr Holly Neill
Dr Holly Neill is the Science Manager at Yakult UK and Ireland where she communicates the latest research on the gut microbiota, probiotics and health. Holly holds a PhD in nutrition and has experience managing and conducting human trials across a range of topics including vitamin D, polyphenols, B-vitamins and cardiovascular health in both healthy populations and ileostomy patients. Before transitioning to industry, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher and has presented her published research internationally.
Dr Sumi Baruah
Dr Sumi Baruah is CEO of Culinary Medicine UK. She is an experienced educator and GP trainer practising in the NHS and private sector. She is an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur. As a certified Health Coach with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, Dr Baruah is passionate about empowering patients to optimise lifestyle factors including nutrition for better health outcomes, using various tools to help with goal setting and behaviour change.
